NGC 6337 is a planetary nebula in Scorpius.
36x Dobsonian:
350x: Bright oval ring, shaped like a 'Cheerio', hence the name Texas observers give it: the 'Cheerio Nebula'. Not hugely bright, but not overly faint. There is a star in (or on) the ring itself and one inside the ring. A bright blue-green colour. A nice object.
Texas Star Party, Prude Ranch, Fort Davis, Texas, USA. Warm, very clear, steady seeing. 3rd-4th June 2008
